Not Legal Advice — Follow Your Aviation Authority
Drone regulation is national law, it differs between countries, and it changes. Nothing on this site is legal advice. The author flies under the EU open-category rules (A1/A3, sub-250g logic, registration) and describes that framework as lived compliance — but the only source that counts for your flying is your own national aviation authority: EASA member-state authorities in the EU, the FAA in the United States, the CAA in the UK, and their counterparts elsewhere. Check the current rules for registration, category, weight class, remote ID, and airspace before every type of operation. When this site and your regulator disagree, your regulator is right.
LiPo Battery Safety — Defer to the Manual
Lithium-polymer batteries are the most hazardous item in this hobby. Our battery content covers care habits only — charging, storage charge, transport, and retirement. It is not a substitute for your battery and charger manufacturers’ instructions, which always take precedence. Never charge unattended, never charge a damaged or puffed pack, use a balance charger and a LiPo-safe container, and retire packs that show damage. This site contains no battery-pack building or modification content, deliberately.
Flight Safety
You are solely responsible for every flight. Spinning propellers cause injuries; drones falling from altitude cause worse. Keep line of sight where required, respect distances from people and property, and treat the first-arm checklist as non-optional. Sim hours are the cheapest crash insurance ever sold — we recommend them before any armed flight.
No Professional Advice
Build guides, repair sequences, and component verdicts on this site reflect the author’s experience on his own bench and flight line. They are not professional engineering, electronics, or flight instruction. Specifications are sourced from manufacturer documentation where possible; manufacturers change specifications without notice and errors may occur.
Results May Vary
Flight performance depends on your components, tune, batteries, conditions, and skill. What our builds and tests produced is reported honestly; your results will differ.
